Step 1:
Initial Consultation
We begin with a conversation about your goals, timeline, budget, and preferred locations. During this meeting, we review the home buying process and discuss the steps needed to begin your search.
Step 2:
Mortgage Pre-Approval
A lender will review your financial information to determine loan eligibility and the maximum amount you may qualify to borrow before beginning your home search.
Step 3:
Home Search
Based on your wants and needs, I will curate a list of homes that match your criteria. We will schedule showings so you can view properties and identify the right home for you.
Step 4:
Making an Offer and Negotiation
Once you find the home you want to purchase, we will prepare a strong offer and negotiate terms with the seller.
Step 5:
Offer Accepted
Once your offer is accepted, the transaction moves forward toward the next stages of the purchase.
Step 6:
Home Inspection
Inspections are conducted to evaluate the condition of the property and identify any potential issues.
Step 7:
Contract, Attorney Review, Loan Processing, and Title Search
Attorneys review and finalize the contract. During this time, your lender works to finalize the loan and may request additional documentation. The lender will also order an appraisal to confirm the value of the property. A title search is also ordered to confirm the property has clear ownership and no outstanding legal issues.
Step 8:
Final Loan Approval and Closing Preparation
Once the lender completes the loan review and all requirements are satisfied, final approval is issued and preparations for closing begin.
Step 9:
Final Walkthrough
Shortly before closing, you will conduct a final walkthrough of the property to confirm it is in the agreed-upon condition.
Step 10:
Closing
Final documents are signed, funds are transferred, and ownership of the property is officially transferred to you.
